I leave all my daffodils and spring flowering blulbs alone until their leaves dry up in summer in order to allow them to nourish the bulbs. I do not cut the leaves down even after transplanting them in spring.

The size of the bulbs will determine whether they will grow next year or the following years. If they bloomed this year, they will probably bloom next year. If the bulbs are small, they need a couple years to grow fully before they bloom.

What do you think my chances of them coming up & flowering again next Spring? Should I fertilize them?
I imagine they will survive and come up next year just fine, but doubt if many will bloom in 2015.

Were the leaves already yellowing when you cut them back? If not I think you will have weakened them. They need their foliage to replenish the bulbs for next year. I would be ready for a reduced display next Spring if you cut off green leaves.

I rescued daffodils and Dutch iris that had been pulled out (they had roots left but no soil) during bloom. They were out of the soil overnight. Got them into soil and watered well. Continued to water until foliage began dying. That was last spring. No bloom this year except for one little Dutch iris. Good foliage growth tho.

Don't fertilize now. Wait until you see new growth next season. Then fertilize.
