Well no response yet, so here are my thoughts. I can't see any reason to sweat over moving some Spanish Bluebells when you clearly have more pressing things on your plate. They are totally bomb proof and will wait until you're ready to deal with them. They grow thick and tough so if you are not in prime digging condition I'd forget this particular chore until you are ready for it. In 12 ish weeks time you will be so busy that you probably won't even have time to look out the windows, let alone worry about the garden. Any spare time you have then I suggest you use to SLEEP ;-)

Of course, if it's not your first you know all this.

Bumblebees are pretty gentle, but you are right. They will "chase" you. Mason bees too, which are so similar to bumbles that you might be making a mistaken I.D. I have been stung by a bumble when I was deadheading where he wanted to feed, and a friend was when she disturbed the nest they had built in a mailbox.

My advice is to move gently and slowly around them. And to maybe do this when you are no longer pregnant, just in case you do get stung and have a reaction. (Not likely. But still.) You also might try working around them in the dusky hours of late afternoon. It seems to me that they are less active then.

If you want to move the Bluebells before your baby comes, I wouldn't worry over much about whether they'll survive. They will. It's possible you will lose one year of bloom, and it's possible that you won't. To have the best chance, don't divide them. Just "lift" them with as much soil around the roots as you can manage. Set them where you want them and water immediately. On the other hand, if they are badly in need of division, why dig twice? Some will probably bloom next year no matter what you do, and if they don't, it's a job that is done.
