Advice on planting Naked Ladies

A friend gave me a TON of these bulbs from her garden. Any advice in planting them?

Do they require full, full sun or can you get away with planting around deciduous trees, i.e, the foliage comes up before the trees leaf out and when the flowers come up in late Summer, it is shady?

I've seen them growing under trees, so unless it is really deep shade they should be fine.

they grow quite well under trees---I planted a clump at my mothers years ago at the base of a tree---gets the full morning sun. To make it even better, its a black walnut tree, and there are also peonies, primrose, a rose bush among others growning in the garden there.
