Mystery ID for Himalayan bulb

This might not actually be native to the Himalayas, but some friends have one in Nepal. It just bloomed (Today? Yesterday?) and they are in Kathmandu. The closest I could get was Higan bana lycoris, but am pretty sure that is not it.

She would love to know what it is so she can properly care for it. Help!

I think my favorite Scadoxus is S. membranaceous as it is a dwarf with really pretty mottled petioles for the leaves and it is self-fertile so you get lovely large red berries after the flowers. This one is evergreen for the most part but well worth growing if your friend likes these sorts of plants :o) Dan
