RE: When to plant what.

Yes and no. It depends on where you live. Zone 7B could be in the Pacific Northwest, and it could also be in the Deep South. Big difference in timing of those plantings, AND in which bulbs will even thrive for you. It is always very helpful if you will indicate your zone and your state of residence whenever you post a question.

By far the easiest way for a newbie is to order your bulbs from a reputable bulb company. They will ship your bulbs to you when it is time for you to plant in your area. It's a very good idea to make note of that time so that in a few years you can dig divide and replant your extra bulbs at the right time.
