It looks a lot to me like a daylily. I could tell better if you would show a pic of the foliage or the foliage on a clump of them.

Daylilies will not bloom if they become too crowded or don't get enough sun.

I agree "Day Lily" They should flower next year if you moved them this year. That is how mine did after moving them last spring.

I have good news to report!!

I have a spike and at very least 4 blooms coming, it's so exciting to know I may have contributed to it's comeback. Sorry I haven't taken another picture of the foliage or the new buds. I will post it soon as dh or db rather comes back from a trip.

As promised here are the salvaged plants. They're still in very rough shape even with regular sun and watering. I don't expect them them to look healthy until next year but this one little spike gives me hope.

Yes, those are definitely daylilies, genus Hemerocallis and not bulb lilies, genus Lilium

They want full sun and lots of water.
