Glad bulbs are usually foolproof. They do a lot better in the ground, but if you have them in containers, l would keep them outside but in the shade at least until you have foliage. You do not soak the bulbs but you do keep the soil moist. It usually takes about 90 days from planting to bloom. Al

You say you bought the bulbs a few months ago. By any chance did you plant them outside before your temperatures warmed up above freezing consistently? If you did, the cold may have killed your bulbs. The glads I planted this spring were up inside to two weeks....Ditto for lilies. Don't grow dahlias.

I planted my a month ago and they are already shooting out and we been getting hammered with cold nights.

Were the bulbs light when you bought them or on the heavy side? I suspect they might have been DOA. Do you still have some left unplanted? If you can peel off the dry outer wrapper and the inside surface is soft they're still fine... if they're hard and dry and the bulb is lightweight then it's a different story.
