It is difficult for the gardener to throw away these small bulbs, but for most of us it is the thing to do. The time and energy spent growing these on to a size where they may some day bloom is a waste of your time better spent elsewhere in the garden. Al

Well, what about the mature bulbs? Plant now or in the fall? If fall, how should I store them until then?

Bulbs large enough to bloom should be stored(after being sure surfaces are dry)in a cool place with good air circulation. I hang mine in mesh bags in the basement, an area we would use as a wine cellar if we had any wine to store! Al
