Any other zone 5'ers cut down their allium folliage?

My globemasters finished blooming last weekend, and I decided to go ahead and cut off the foliage this weekend since the vast majority of it was shriveled and brown. Just wondering if anyone else has, or waited a bit longer?

Mine are covered by other plants, but mine look okay to snip off at this point.

I usually give a little tug and if it pulls right off I keep going, if not I leave it for a few more days/weeks and try again.

I have snipped off brown ones that were exposed.
I left those that are hidden behind other plants alone until I have time to cut them off later.

Actually, I find they die off so fast on their own that I hardly ever have to bother with this chore on Alliums.
