Digging up bulbs in July?

I'm doing some landscaping in our yard and have decided to raise the flower bed that is against the house to help with drainage. There are about 40 tulip and daffodil bulbs planted in there, if I dig them up right now am I ruining them? Can I put them in the fridge or a cool closet and plant them again in fall? Can I put them back in the ground when I raise the bed?

No harm will be done to your bulbs if dug now and stored properly until fall planting time. Al
