small blue-flowered bulb to follow chionodoxa?

I live in an old house that has a screaming scarlet ornamental quince that can bloom for as long as six weeks. I put chionodoxa forbesii in the grass around the quince, and it does well, but it typically finishes blooming about when the quince starts.

So... I would like to plant another small bulb to follow the chionodoxas and bloom with the quince, keeping with the blue color (not a purple, as scarlet is on the orange side of red.) Suggestions? Ideally something old... Site is protected and sunny in spring w/ afternoon shade in summer. Soil trends thin and acid though I could fertilize.
