When to start Calla Lily Indoors

Hello,

I've been growing a Calla Lily for several years, and it has only bloomed once for me after I set it out. I usually start it in a pot indoors in January, and plant it out in May. Am I starting it too soon or too late, or putting it out too soon or late?

Steve,

Maybe it isn't have enough of a dormancy or maybe it's because it's being disturbed while in growth? I planted a few corms this year and not one of them bloomed either, TONS of foliage but no blooms :(
