Hi all

Walking around the neighborhood, a new family in an old house dug up a mystery plant. They thought I might help, but it was an odd combination.

The foliage looks like daylily foliage. The roots / tubers look like the long finger like tubers from a dahlia.

They waited all summer, not a flower so they dug them up. I suggested replanting where there is more sun.

any idea about this combination?
