Yes, you can force them, but not in the ground. And there is no way to change or intensify the color - they are what they are :-)) Sometimes strong sunlight, especially in the afternoon, can fade or bleach out the colors. But I doubt that's a huge concern in spring in the UK....I know it's not here.

Depending on selection, it is sometimes not advised to mix spring flowering bulbs in amongst those that flower later in summer. Spring flowering bulbs go dormant in summer and like to be kept on the dry side then while summer bulbs appreciate regular irrigation. And while it's a great idea in theory to have a planting area devoted entirely to bulbs - a stunning display when in bloom - it presents a completly blank slate in winter when both spring and summer bulbs are dormant beneath the soil. Just a thought......

So basically it's the colour they'll be and nothing I can do to invreae. Thw colour.
