purchasing bulbs

In this bad economy, we are cutting back on so many things. Included in this is the amount of money we spend on bulbs. We want to continue planting daffodils in our yard but cannot afford them from places we would normally order them from. Soooo, we are considering getting them from Costco. We pretty much want to stick with the ones with large flowers. Does anyone have good or bad experience with bulk daffodils from Costco. Any advice would be appreciated.

RE: purchasing bulbs

I've only bought daffodils from them once and they were white/pink on the label but came up yellow. I've read multiple good experiences with their bulbs on other forums though.

I had a problem with Oriental lilies being Asiatics too so I won't buy bulbs from Costco or any other mass merchandiser again. (I had problems from Wal*Mart and Home Depot as well)
