I loved Tiger Lilies when I was growing up in the P.N.W.. and I was wondering if I could get them to bloom well near San Francisco.
We rarely get frost (perhaps once every decade) and though it is hot and dry 3-4 months of the year, our springs and autumns are often cool (60's F-70'sF) with some fog in the morning from off of the Bay. I was planning to plant them in filtered sun, on the north side of my house.

Should I buy a few Tigrinum Splendens?

I've never seen a Hemerorcallis that I loved enough to buy, so that won't work for me.
