They look like deformed double tulips to me. :-(

I have never been wowed over by double tulips. After planting some for a few seasons and ended up with misshapend blooms, I gave up on them. Those were bulbs I bought from big lot stores or some problematic bulb suppliers before I knew anything about wholesalers such as Van Engelen or John Scheepers.

From which supplier are you planning to buy those bulbs, Emerogork?

Since I have only three bulbs, it is no real problem. I guess I will post back in the spring with an update.

I have been using Michigan Bulb and Breck's and this was the first (and maybe last) season that I will.

Both seem just a bit too eager to specials and junk e-mail. One of them claim that you can apply their discounts to anything and it is even marked on items that are already discounted but after you go through all the bother to set up a shopping cart of items you then you find out that the discounts do not apply to a lot of the items in your list.

The do not have a list of what you have already ordered that could help prevent me from doubling that which I am already going to receive. Both of them have e-mail reminders that are not geared for me to sort them. ( I have to open the message then scroll to the bottom to see what to what purchase it pertains.

I will look into the two sources you mentioned.
