 o
anyone have bulbs sprouting yet?

I was just outside and noticed that I have loads of daffodils popping up, some by as much as three inches or so! I saw a few crocuses, and I think possibly the ranunculus. Is this normal? Do any of you have this already too? I was so surprised. It's so early!

I have some 'wild' tulips that put up foliage a month or so ago. Received them in a trade, so am not familiar with them.

There are also some newly planted daffs that are sending up foliage, but I usually don't see any daffs b4 maybe early Feb or so here.

I have it too: daffodils with shoots an inch high. It was cold for about 2 weeks than warm for a week.

Me three; Chinese Sacred Lily and N.jonquilla daffodils have had full foliage for a few weeks now, Soleil d'Or, Avalanche is just poking through.

My established Daffodils and Dutch Iris always send up shoots in fall. It's normal for them.

So glad I checked here and I'm not alone. Some of my daffodils are almost 6 inches tall! We had the freezing weather for a couple of weeks and now two weeks of between 50 and 78! I'm glad I don't have to heat my house, but come on it's November 14th and I'm wearing shorts in Virginia.

My narcissus have been blooming for days. Yes most all of my bulbs are sprouted. Crocosemia, iris, glads, and amaryllis.

Yep, tons of bulb foliage emerging here too. There won't be any blooms for a while, but it's so exciting to see stuff emerging.

Ipheions are up here--not quite sure what's up with that--I've had the bulbs for several years now. We did have a "wetter than normal" summer here.

I don't have much up yet, except for the winter flowering crocus, but its about the time when I would expect to see stuff. Strangely enough, some of the last to show any sign are the Snowdrops which don't appear at all until January or February, usually right when it is really cold, then they are in flower very soon afterwards.

In recent winters, some of the earlier Daffodils have been popping into flower during warm spells in December or January, so don't be surprised if it happens again.

I found another batch of daffs popping up. So nice to see this growth! I know we're a while away from flowers, but it's so cheering anyway.
