Hello, I found two varieties of fall crocus, not positive they are hardy here but I figure worth trying.

I bought them in October and they all had small flowers beginning to sprout.
I planted them, and most are flowering now.

But, being a fall bloomer and these being late flowering due to unnaturally late planting (we normally have frost now), will they be sending up leaves at all? Even the stems now don't look like they could photosynthesize enough energy to come back.
I just find it odd they could go through this flowering process 100 percent reliant on spring leaves.

Anyways lots to learn here.
