They will do just fine. Plant them per the instructions, as soon as possible, and try to be gentle with the sprouts.

If you were to dig up the crocuses already in the yard right now, they'd have 3/4 inch sprouts as well. I came across some well-established crocuses just the other day while planting tulips, and they had buds that were over an inch long.

Bulbs normally start growing over fall/winter so that they are ready for spring; crocuses come up so early that they want to get a good head start before the ground freezes.
