Does anyone else see their bulbs breking ground in OHIO? I have Daffodils, Tulips, Iris, Hyanciths & more all breking gorund in December. Along with my Lily of the Valley's have sprouted! What is going on?? None of the bulbs I planted this fall have broke the ground, but all my older ones from years past are! I have seen it before early spring come up earlier than usual, but never in the beginning of winter!!! Before I might have had some damage to the foilage but never the flowers. I don't see how I could get that lucky this year. Anyone have any advice on what to do or what is going on? Maybe they know something we don't know and we are going to skip winter this year!

No problem, not to worry. It is quite common for some spring blooming bulbs to put up some foliage in the fall, or much earlier than what one would consider normal. The blooms should be just fine and only the tips of some of the foliage will be browned by the freezing winter temps.

Please see anyone have bulbs sprouting yet?

Sue
