Amaryllis Plant - question

Hello,

I just brought home a nice Amaryllis (Red Knight?) from my local grocery store that was 1/2 off because the bloom was gone.

This amaryllis has beautiful, large foliage. A old woman walked by me and told me that it is a strong, healthy one. So I purchased and brought it home. I cut off the stalk that had the bloom. It wasn't dried up but healthy still. I read they should be removed to allow the bulb to "rest".

Question - can I just leave it in it's original pot and if so, when will it bloom again? Can I also replant it in another larger pot and if so, when can I do this?

Thanks, TammyPie
