Some container pics

Just a few pics to share. This is my first house and first summer gardening. As you can see, I really like sweet potato vine. Very easy to grow. I have some wave petunias but they are doing poorly right now so I'll save those photos for later. Learned a few things this year:
1. While small pots are cute (my wife wanted them) they are a poor way to grow outdoor flowers and plants. They dry out too soon, esp if terracotta like mine, and I think limit the plant growth.
2. Even though I do all the gardening, my wife gets all the credit when friends come over. Damn it.
3. Rabbits will eat your flowers. Take a look at my whiskey barrel. They destroyed everything in it except for the SPV. I have some "Liquid Fence" which I'm using now and will replant some flowers soon.

I cannot seem to bring any pictures up. Is it pilot error on my part? |

Very nice!! You get the credit. A suggestion if your rabbit problem continues. Sprinkle a little used kitty litter around your containers (urine, not feces)I have found that it seems to keep away rodents. I re-apply every few days. So far, so good. |
