Orchiata bark for Gritty Mix?

Has anyone used this? It is more expensive than the Rexius fir bark but since I am not potting a lot of trees, I would consider paying the extra cost for it if it is a better bark product for my fruit trees in the Gritty Mix.

Yup, it's awesome. Less waste (read: big chunks) than with the Rexius. No sifting for 5-1-1.

I order from this vendor. Fred is good.

Here is a link that might be useful: Sunset Valley

Thanks! Is there a lot of waste with the Rexius fine fir bark?

Oxboy, do you use the Fine size (3/8"-1/2") or the Seedling size (1/4" - 3/8")?

RE: Orchiata bark for Gritty Mix?

Seedling size is what you'd want.

Hi there! Sunset Valley does not sell Orchiata. They sell raw bark under a different name. Orchiata is an aged bark. Check out website. Great information on Orchiata. Ochiata right now is the talk of the town. A really fabulous product.
