foliage pro question

today I stopped by a horticulture supply store & asked if they carried Dyna gro foliage pro 9-3-6 & the guy said they only had the grow & bloom formulas ( neither of which had a 3-1-2 ratio ). I said I wanted the FP so he offered to order it for me and I said that was fine.
He then went on to explain to me that FP is designed for FOLIAR FEEDING ONLY.

from what I've read on this forum I thought the people using this were using it as a primary fertilizer not as a spray. he asked me why I wanted FP specifically & I explained I wanted the 3-1-2 ratio & the MICRO NUTRIENTS it contains. can anyone set me straight on the use of this much talked about product.

You can dilute in water and irrigate normally into the soil. In fact, that's probably how the vast majority use it.
