elongated elephant ear plant...

hello,i have a green elephant ear in a 12" pot in the shed right in front of the south facing sliding glass door.still the leaves are very long now and flopping over.is there anything i should do now?will i have to cut those long leaves off and if yes when?thank you for any ideas

The leaves on my EE are long gone by this time of year. Mine are in the garden year around, but always grow back in the spring. I would cut off the old leaves now. Al
