You should be fine either way. I usually use a peat/perlite mix for germination and pot up into 5-1-1 when growing tomatoes and peppers from seed. Sometimes, if there are several seedlings in one cell, I have to bare root. On other occasions I keep the soil ball intact. Haven't noticed a great deal of difference either way.

As long as the root and soil mass aren't compacted to the degree that the entire mass (roots & soil) can be lifted from the container intact, there is no compelling reason to bare-root, as long as the soil mass is small.

This is one reason why I like to start my seeds in a gritty mix and then pot them into 5-1-1.
It makes for a smooth, stress-free transition.
