| Hello,
I was looking at my gardenia plant that I've owned for 3 weeks now and it is currently setting new growth. I noticed that on the new leaves that are emerging and growing, there is this crystallized buildup on the leaves. It looks as if it is salt, but it is shiny and rubs off when I touch the leaves. I also remember seeing this with a gardenia I owned last year. Thanks for any insight! |

| Are you wetting foliage when you water (lime deposits)? In some plants, crystals do form naturally as volatile oils evaporate from leaf surfaces - a possibility. Al |
