Deterinate Tomato

I'm new here, having just registered this morning. I recently retired and started planting in containers because of the limited space I have available. Last summer I bought 3 self watering planters and put in the Celebrity variety of tomato. They really did great, but I was disappointed with the size, and a little disappointed with the flavor. I was wondering what other variety of tomato would satisfy my taste buds and give big yields.

I suggest you check out the container forum. Taste is a major consideration in many discussions there. If your self watering containers are big enough (at least 10 gallons), you can grow almost any tomato you want. It doesn't have to be determinant. There are a lot more flavorful choices among the heirloom indetrrminants.

...... it may be the soil's moisture content playing a significant role in the lack of flavor, too.
