Fir Bark Fines warm to the touch

Hey all. Been awhile since I posted. Getting ready to make a big batch or two of the 511 for my container tomato and veggie garden! Got a question for you guys. I recenly purchased some fir bark fines in bulk and noticed they seemed pretty warm when shoveling them in my bags. I assume they are pretty fresh and I'm wondering if they can be used very soon or should they breath for a couple three weeks?

Same thing with a bag of potting soil I got. Maybe some things are still breaking down? The soil really works well so it is not a issue.
