| Finished building a 10 gal SWC about a week ago. Fill is 6-2-1 mix of BMX PRO,pine bark mulch fines and Pearlite. The circular opening in the wicking chamber is 3.12 inchs which I now fear is too large for a 10 gal SWC. The top layer of mix appears to be too wet as I am able to easily squeeze several drops out of a handful. I am considering changing the opening to 2 inchs dia.
Any advice will be appreciated. Larry |
