More than just Miracle Grow

Hi all

New to the container gardening scene. As I'm preparing my 5 gallon buckets and 18 gal bins for gardening, I'm confused on what exactly type of mix I need. Say I bought the Miracle Grow mix, do I need to add anything else to that? Lime, fertilizer? I'm a little lost.

You won't find many MG soil fans here in this forum. There are much better and cheaper soil mixes you can make. Please read this thread. All the answers you need should be in here:
