| over the years i have been using composted manure with bark and added 10% peat which worked good, also some lime.this year i wanted to build it better with peat moss and pelite.the compost is bulk and i get it by the yard.i was thinking of adding 1 large bale of peat and 1 large bag of perlite to 1 yard of compost.i will need about 800 gallons of the mix. this is for self watering containers.does it sound like the right ratio? last year i built a 100 gal swc with a 30 gal water resevoir.it worked better than i expected. its the ratio of the mix? |
