| Hello,
I'm in CT and hoping to plant some tropical (or tropical looking / colorful) plants in containers this year. I have 15 and a 13 inch containers. Does anyone have any ideas for plants that might do well in containers this size? Would you use the 5:1:1 mix? Thanks in advance! |

| An afterthought... I'd like a pretty/colorful flower for the 13 inch container. For the 15 inch container... could I do something crazy like bananas? |

| The 5:1:1 mix should serve you very well. The 15 incher might be a little small for a banana, even a dwarf, but you could do elephant ears or canna. Datura or brugs are another possibility that's a little more exotic than common CT fare. Mandevilla vine on a trellis is another possibility. I'm sure you'll have many other good suggestions. Al |
