Placement of drainage hole in poly stocktank?

Posted by catherinet 5 (My Page) on

I bought a food-grade poly stocktank to grow veggies in. It's 6' long, 2' wide and 1' deep. I'm going to drill several 1" holes in it for drainage. Anyone know if it would be better to drill them on the bottom, or the lowest part of the sides?
Thanks!

I would go in the bottom with it. Make it no different than a regular pot but most definitely much bigger.

Cut "V" shaped wedges on the sides (where the wall meets the bottom). Holes at the bottom , contacting something can get clogged or become a slow drainage.
