Gorgeous container planting in half whiskey barrel

Hi all, I hang out in the hosta forum for the most part, but enjoy container gardening as well. I wanted to share this idea I found on Flickr of this heavily planted barrel, including a dogwood.
I think it's stunning and worthy of passing along.

Great use of color & texture. I really like it! Thanks for sharing it with us, N. Wouldn't a nice chartreuse Coleus or Ipomea have added a nice touch?

It's very nice! I agree, Al... I think it could have used a touch of lighter colored balance toward the left side of the photo... chartreuse coleus would have been a really nice addition. But all in all, a lovely container arrangement.

I wish I could get my Agapanthus to bloom like that!
