2 ultra dwarf cherry plants, is this normal?

Hi,
These were bare roots, placed in the pot 10 weeks ago. The Stella has been growing nicely, but the Bing, nothing. All the conditions are the same for both plants. Did I just get a DOA Bing? Thanks for any comments!

It looks dead to me. Did you scrape the bark to see if the cambium is green? Al

Seeing that the branches look shriveled, I started cutting them back, looking for "green" inside. Nothing, all white and brown, and dry. So I kept cutting, and cutting, all the way down the main trunk. Finally I just took it out of the container, all the roots were dead, cut them off, all brown and black. It must've been dead when I got it.
