Straw bales to support poly stock tank garden?

catherinet

I didn't want to sink too much money or effort into raising up my new stock tank that I'm going to grow shallower-rooted veggies in this summer.
The stock tank is food grad poly and is 6'long, 2' wide and only 1' deep.
I was going to use about 4-5 bales of straw to hold it up.
I know once the soil is in there, it will be a bit heavy......but don't you think the straw bales will stay intact for at least one season?
Thanks.
