| For some reason, the search portion on GF's site is not working at times. So, hate to repeat a question, but I know I've read before some postings about aquarium gravel possibly being a sub for gran-i-grit. I know Al kindly answered my inquiry about crushed coral, but upon closer look most of this white gravel I have is smooth and not coral, but a rock of some kind. The size would be perfect.
I thought I found chicken grit, but it was way too small. I have 2 each 5-gallon pails of clean aquarium rocks I found on craigslist, but I cannot identify the rock. But it is not porous, no holes, just really stone-looking. I could sift out the small pieces of bleached coral in there. Would this do? Please help! Suzie |

| For the search function: After you hit 'SEARCH' and your page comes up, scroll WAY down the page for your listing. Sounds like you might have quartz, Suzie. I'm betting that if it was suitable for use in a tank, it's fine for plants .... if the size is appropriate. AL |
