Container medium question

Hi, I'm a first year gardener. I have a bunch of peppers and tomatoes going out in a week or so. Most are going in a raised bed, but some in containers.

For the containers I'm planning a mix of 50% potting mix (mostly peat, no soil) that has worked well for my seedlings, 25% compost and 25% perlite. Does that seem ok?

Can I use LECA in place of perlite, or is it too big? Reason I'm asking is that LECA is way way cheaper in my location (Norway).

As long as the size is ok, I don't see why you couldn't use it. Is it sold in a "small" size?

RE: Container medium question

Not sure, to be honest. How small does it need to be to be viable?

RE: Container medium question

Just guessing, maybe 5-8mm. The medium size is described as 8-16mm which seems too big IMO. That's why I asked about small. Maybe you could break it down to size if necessary.
