I think that is a great solution you came up with. Annoying for the muncher, but flexible to reach through and see through.

I had to add metal flashing around mine to keep my dogs from peeing on the bags.....no more male dogs, ever.

Are those Texas tomato cages around 20 gallon GeoPots? I was considering those but ended up getting the Burpee cages with extenders (and the cheapo connectors). In retrospect I think I wasted my money because last year my indeterminates grew about 8 feet tall and with the extenders they are probably only about 6 feet tall. I also like the idea of the cages surrounding the container rather than being inside the container.

What are your containers sitting on?

Those are Texas tomato cages, worth every penny. I zip tied them to the Geopot handles so the weight of the bag keeps the wind from blowing them over.

The containers are sitting on concrete pavers, there is a dip that runs along the concrete there to drain water down that side of the house, the pavers make a level area for the bags to sit on but allow the water to flow under them.
