There was a pretty widespread blight that hit my area last year making my cherry tomatoes go brown late in the season. Would reusing the same soil as last year to grow tomatoes again be a problem? Its a pretty big container so I'd rather not replace the soil if I don't have to.

Is there anything I can do to the soil to treat it before planting, ammonia etc?
