These are not indoor plants -- they will not thrive inside a house or other structure for long. Is there a reason they cannot be planted outside? Or even grown in containers outside? They need the sunlight, humidity and temperatures an outdoor environment provides them and that they cannot get indoors.

Aphids are what commonly cause the leaves to curl. I don't see any of those. As long as there's nothing on the leaf and they stay green don't worry about the curling.

I agree these need to be outdoors. They need summer sun and winter chilling. You'll not get fruit indoors and the plants won't even grow properly past this fall indoors.

If possible move them outside but be careful to gradually introduce them to full sun. I've fruited both kinds in smaller pots outdoors.

I appreciate the advice so far. They can't be planted as there's nowhere to plant them. I could move them to the patio where they'd get somewhat more sun than they are now. I will definitely consider that.

What I was worried about was the whole watering thing. It seems very confusing knowing whether you've watered too much or too little. I have the soil water tester coming tomorrow so I'm curious what that will show. If the curling isn't a big deal that's great. It just wasn't there when the plant had far fewer leaves a few weeks ago.

If you want fruit they have to be outside. If you want a one year annual keep it inside. It won't leaf out next spring without 1000 hrs 32-45F next winter. And they won't produce fruit without at least 6-8 hrs direct sun in summer.

If your mix drains well you don't need to be so concerned about over watering especially in a fabric pot. Outside in summer it will need watering every day. I water mine in morning so that the excess water is pulled out asap. That means the roots aren't standing in a perched water table all night.

Not sure about the curling - but it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get an apple or apricot tree enough sunlight indoors.
