Closer look

Finally more room to grow, it's been in gritty mix in a very small pot for three years, room to breathe now. That Clay pot to the left was what it was in.

Jerry, I was going to ask...any slow-release fert's in the mix?

Hey Josh,

I used E.B. Stone Sure Start I think it's called. I usually use a dry organic mix as a top dressing and when repotting at the start of summer, and I use FP once or twice a week. This year I'm going to use a liquid used by hydroponic people on all my edibles. Less toxic I think and more useable to plants and microorganisms.

Nice view out your backyard! Just curious, is Ventura ever hot enough for you to use the swimming pool? I thought it's usually cool and/or foggy.

It can be foggy at the beach but it's usually only foggy up here when all Southern California is overcast. I do like my view, if I would have taken the picture from the north side you would have seen the ocean and the islands, I'm very fortunate. We use the pool all summer, but the breeze can chill you when you get out, the water gets to at lest 86 with that cover on, keeps you very comfortable. That plumeria will smell really nice by the pool.
