Marcia fuchsia flowers fading to greyish color

I bought this pretty fuchsia not too long ago and the purple area of the flowers always faded to pink/magenta. Now on newly opened flowers the purple area and the the red petals that curve back are starting to turn greyish and pale in color. Also some unopened flowers are falling off. What's going on?
