Al's Mix and enhanced Calcitic Lime

Hi,

I am going to grow peppers in containers, and have been reading about Al's Mix. I've goten all my questions answered but one. I have no experience with lime. My friend just gave me a bag of "enhanced calcitic lime" to put on my lawn. It says course on the bag. My friend works for a natural landscape company, and this is what they use. Would this be OK to use in Al's Mix, or should I purchase a different kind of lime?

I'm glad I did my research before posting. There was quite a lively discussion about cococut coir as a substitute for peat :). I will be using peat. Also, I purchased some Dr. Earch Organic vegetable fertilizer 5-7-5, to use as the CRF. I hope this is correct, it doesn't say time release or control release on it.

Michele
