Baught some miracle grow potting mix for the flower baskets today. Had some left over I filled one of the containers with it, will this work for vegetables as well if I mix a little compost and worm compost in the root zone ?

I only filled one with extra I had left over the other I plan to buy Mabye a dr earth brand. Should I still mix in compost in each or can I grow directly into the mix?

I'm growing strawberries in 3
3 husky Cherry tomato
3 sweet bell pepper
1 carrot
Mabye a few others

Since no one has replied, I will try to help.

Just be sure to add perlite to the potting mix so it will not compact too much. Dr. Earth is good fertilizer but is very expensive. Adding compost and worm compost is a plus when it comes to nutrients.
