Hey, JoJo, just go with a coarse mix like the one you're using, so that you can easily bare-root the tree when the time is right.

A second one sprouted now.

How long should I wait to move it into it's own container? I've heard transplants should be after the first set of leaves, but this looks like it sprouted with it's first set. lol..

I typically wait until there are 2 - 3 sets of true leaves, unless the container is very small and won't accommodate that amount/length of growth. The other thing I wait for is the hardening off/maturing of those first leaves....that way they don't get so ragged during the transition.

The container is about 4" deep, just an old Tupperware ;-) They can hang out for a bit.

I threw them in for grins and giggles, never really expected them to sprout.. they are old seeds, so I was surprised. lol..
