Hi everyone last year I had a miserable time with my cucumbers so this year I decided to compliment my garden with growing some container veggies on a sunny deck. I'm doing hot and sweet peppers, squash, and cucumbers and so far everything is extremely healthy looking. Over the weekend the cucs developed flowers so this morning I went to be sure there were no cucumber beetles on them (which I think was my problem last year) there were none but several very tiny bugs or gnats flew out of the plant when I touched it. Way too small for pics but wondering if this is a potential problem and if there is anything I should do. I am spraying with an organic liquid fungicide from Bonide and watering with miracle grow. The soil 1/3 compost, miracle grow potting soil, and bagged dehydrated cow manure with osmocote mixed in. Thanks so much.
