Sweet Bay variety for container?

I went down to the nursery to buy a bay tree and they had two varieties to choose from. The leaves on one looked like your typical bay leaves you use for cooking and the other one had long wavy edged leaves. Both said great for cooking and container growing, although the long leave one hinted at that it was better at being grown in a container.

Anyone have any experience growing the long leafed one? I've grown the typical one in the ground at my old home, i'd like to try the new variety but id like to know that the leaves are really just as good for cooking, flavor wise.
